Welcome to Beaver Brook. . .

Beaver Brook Children’s Center first opened in 1976. Since that time we have prided ourselves on our exceptional standards. For over 30 years we have partnered with our families to ensure their children are nurtured and cared for while they grow and develop the skills necessary to take them through their school age years and even into adulthood. 

Beaver Brook strives to provide a loving, warm, safe and healthy environment. Our Directors and staff understand that each child is unique regardless of sex, race or religion. We encourage the children to express their feelings and emotions and help them to understand that they are unique and special individuals capable of doing and achieving many things. Through play, guided teaching and hands on activities we promote a variety of skills such as cognitive, social, and emotional, as well as fine and large motor skills. In conjunction with these skills and abilities comes a self-confidence and enjoyment for learning, which can follow a child through life. 

A good preschool sets the stage for a child’s desire to learn and develop good habits. Beaver Brook understands that a child learns not only from instruction, but also from daily routines and experiences. Simple tasks such as sharing with friends, picking up after yourself, or clearing your plate after lunch are all experiences, which help in the learning and development of a child. Beaver Brook recognizes the importance of making theses experiences positive through praise and encouragement. 

It has been a great pleasure watching and sharing in the experiences of the many children and families that have spent time at Beaver Brook. Being in business for over 30 years, many of the children are now adults. Nothing brings greater pleasure to us than when we hear from someone who is now and adult and they share their wonderful memories of Beaver Brook. We have even had staff that attended Beaver Brook as children and came back to teach for us. What a compliment to know that were blessed enough to share in a small part of that person’s life. And greater is the compliment that their memories of Beaver Brook have carried through to present day. We are humbled and thankful for each and every one for the children who have attended Beaver Brook…then and now.
